Hahaha!

The flailing continues apace…

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

I read somewhere today speculation that the Democrats’ internal polls show them in deep, deep trouble, maybe even checkmated, so long as Palin remains the GOP VP candidate.

They sure are going out whole hog to get her. It’s almost like a high tech lynching, but they cannot find a tree strong enough to hold her.

Poor dumb bastards.

I’ll bet my paycheck

That this woman votes for the Democrat American Communist Party.

The Americans are doing it again, mystifying the masses here with their weird, weird presidential elections.

To the Chinese, who are spared by the one-party Communist system of such complications as electoral colleges and party caucuses, the spectacle unfolding in the United States is not a very tempting advertisement for democracy.

Feel the stupid, folks. “Spared” from the horror of a two party system by the wonderful Communist Party! Right, because the Chinese can vote for anyone they want, but there’s only one name on the ticket!

Yet if the Chinese think the U.S. presidential campaign is chaotic and unseemly, there is good reason. Chinese coverage has not exactly highlighted the more flattering aspects of the American political process.

Well gee, why wouldn’t the ChiComs want to paint a flattering picture of American Politics? Maybe because if the Chinese found out that the rest of the world isn’t forced to abort their second child, they might get a little ticked off?

And that, folks, is why I canceled my newspaper subscription when I lived in Seattle. Found at RSN.

Pardon me whilst I LOL

Matthews, Olbermann shitcanned from MSNBC.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Gee, two of the biggest no-talent, biased asscannons ever to disgrace a TV screen have finally been fired.

Unfortunately, they’ve hired David Gregory to replace them, showing that MSNBC still hasn’t learned a damn thing. Hey NBC - it’s not just that Olbermann and Matthews were idiots, it’s that they’re biased pieces of shit who were nothing more than mouthpieces for the DNC on the air. That turned off plenty of viewers. And if you expect David Gregory to change that, well, you’re dumber than a mud fence.

But then, if you were smart, you wouldn’t have allowed Olbermann and Matthews to continue this long.

How does Barack Hussein Obama really see the military?

Let’s ask him:

“We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.” — Barack Hussein Obama Jr.(D)

So… they are slaughtering civilians like Ghengis Khan eh?

At a fancy ‘05 Manhattan fundraiser, Obama told the approving crowd that the Bush administration was using soldiers in Iraq as “cannon fodder.”

So… they are stupid? eh?

“You know, I’ve heard from an Army captain who was the head of a rifle platoon — supposed to have 39 men in a rifle platoon. Ended up being sent to Afghanistan with 24 because 15 of those soldiers had been sent to Iraq. And as a consequence, they didn’t have enough ammunition, they didn’t have enough humvees. They were actually capturing Taliban weapons, because it was easier to get Taliban weapons than it was for them to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief.” — Barack Hussein Obama

So… voting against funding the troops is working eh?

…”oftentimes our women servicemembers are more prone to post-traumatic stress disorder partly because they — there’s a sad, but real, problem of sexual harassment and sexual abuse for women veterans, and that makes them much more prone, then, to have post-traumatic stress disorder.” — Barack Hussein Obama Jr.(D)

So… when they aren’t killing civilians they are molesting our service women who are stupid to join up as well? eh?

“If you talk to commanders on the ground there, they’ll tell you, ‘Instead of having another platoon, I’d rather have a couple of agricultural specialists.” — Barack Hussein Obama Jr.(D) who hasn’t been “on the ground there” in Afghanistan

Because nothing inflicts casualties upon the Taliban like “agricultural specialists”.

He almost joined the service

Oy Vey!

Just one problem with Obama’s little story.

Registration for selective service was not reinstated until 1980.

I’m making a proclamation

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who knowingly half-strips a 60 year old hardwood door, and then puts varnish over the whole damn thing, should be consigned to no less than the seventh circle of hell.

I have no idea what all is covering that poor door. All I know is that I can barely scrape it off. It just laughs at the varnish stripper I used. There’s probably two decades worth of dirt, crap, and varnish on it.

The previous tenants of this house need to be persecuted for crimes against a historic home.

Joe Biden: Dirty as a Skunk

Actually, skunks may be clean animals. Dunno.

Can’t excerpt it all, the gist is this, I think:

Joe Biden likes to say he is the embodiment of the American dream — a middle-class kid who became one of the U.S. Senate’s most-respected members and, now, the Democratic nominee for vice president.

Though he’s considered one of the least wealthy senators — his net worth dwarfed by several multimillionaire attorneys and entrepreneurs — Biden is a wealthy man by ordinary standards — worth about $2 million but perhaps hundreds of thousand dollars more, a News Journal analysis found.
.
.
.
While their earnings probably would not be enough to purchase their Greenville estate today, the Bidens have managed to live in such splendor partly because of two financially rewarding real estate deals with political supporters.

In 1996, Biden sold a home in Greenville for the asking price of $1.2 million — more than six times what he paid two decades earlier — to John R. Cochran III, a top executive at the MBNA credit card bank that was a longtime political benefactor.

Using profits from that sale, Biden paid $350,000 cash to real estate executive and developer Keith D. Stoltz for 4.2 vacant acres — a long, narrow lot a few miles from Biden’s old home. Stoltz had bought that same lot five years earlier for the same price.

Stephen Pyle, who sold the land to Stoltz in 1991, said he was surprised that Stoltz, who lived on a neighboring estate, did not make any profit selling to Biden. “That doesn’t sound like Keith Stoltz,” Pyle, an artist who now lives in Texas, said of Stoltz, whose company recently proposed a $525 million project at nearby Barley Mill Plaza, a former DuPont Co. office campus.
.
.
.
Sen. Biden married Jill in 1977 and the couple raised three children in the home. In 1996, they put it on the market for $1.2 million — and that’s exactly what Cochran, MBNA’s chief marketing officer, paid for it.

That fall, the home sale became controversial when a pollster for Biden’s re-election opponent, Republican Raymond Clatworthy, suggested during a telephone survey that Cochran paid more than twice what the house was worth.
.
.
.
That didn’t end the controversy, however. The American Spectator, a conservative magazine, published an article in 1998 that branded Biden as “The Senator from MBNA.” The story was written long before Biden supported federal bankruptcy reform legislation, an effort that MBNA pursued aggressively.

The piece noted that MBNA employees had given $62,850 to Biden for his 1996 re-election — by far the most from any company — and that Cochran himself had given the maximum $2,000.

MBNA also reimbursed Cochran $330,115 for his move to Delaware from Maryland, including $210,000 for a loss on his old home, the magazine wrote, citing an MBNA Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Shortly after Biden defeated Clatworthy, the magazine reported, MBNA hired Biden’s son Hunter, a Yale Law School graduate, to a management trainee post. Hunter Biden later left the bank and became a lobbyist.

Probably no more smarmy than a lot of what happens in DC. But a working class hero?

Ummm, no.
